The Block contestants Chantelle & Steve were so impressed with our designs in the custom print wallpaper challenge they asked us to help bring some WOW-Factor to the entrance of their Albert Park apartment.

Chantelle and Steve wanted to continue linking the modern apartment with the heritage of the area and so, our team of designers sourced a stunning vintage map of Albert Park (from the State Library of Victoria). Working closely with the contestants, we tweaked the image to suit the tone and colour of the apartment, leading to the biggest challenge of the job – the installation!

Under normal conditions, installing a wall of that size wouldn’t cause too many concerns, but this is The Block! Our installers battled for space on the 6m scaffold which was filled with painters, plasterers, carpenters and a constant stream of other trades. That said, the results speak for themselves!

When esteemed interior designers and judges of The Block Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Neale Whitaker saw our custom print wallpaper, we got the ‘Wow’ we had been hoping for! The judge’s comments including ‘isn’ that amazing’,  ‘the first thing that took my eye was the old vintage map of Albert that they used very cleverly’,  and ‘simple, a little bit abstract and clever’ we exactly what Chantelle and Steve wanted to achieve.

It was an honour working with Chantelle and Steve on this project and helping them achieve their first room win of the season!
